Friday 7th July at 7.30 pm Talk on Health Care for Asylum Seekers Friends Meeting House, The Friars, Canterbury Health care for asylum seekers and refugees often fails to meet acceptable standards. They have serious problems getting access to NHS care, and in presenting clinical evidence to support legitimate claims for refugee status eg. past torture. The medical services for those who are detained are especially problematic. Medical Justice is a network of ex-detainees, doctors, and other experts attempting to address these complex issues. Dr Katona will address these various issues in the course of his talk and answer questions.
