This report, produced by the Children & Young People HIV Network (National Children's Bureau), presents the findings from interviews and questionnaires, which offer an overview of the current situation for children living with HIV and insecure immigration status in the UK. This launch presents the opportunity to hear from speakers with expertise in Children's Welfare, Paediatric HIV Healthcare and Child Refugee issues.

Speakers ;

Paul Ennals - Chief Executive, National Children's Bureau
Paul took up this post in 1998, having previously been director of education and employment for RNIB. He was vice-chair of the government's National Advisory Group on Special Educational Needs (SEN) from 1997 to 2001, chair of the Council for Disabled Children from 1993-1998, and founder chair of the Special Educational Consortium. He currently chairs the Children's Workforce Network, which brings together all the major agencies concerned with the children's workforce. He is a member of the DFES Stakeholder's Board.

Dr Hermione Lyall - Chair of the Children HIV Association for the UK and Ireland
Currently the Chair of CHIVA (Children's HIV Association), Dr Lyall is a member of the multidisciplinary family clinic HIV team at St Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London. She is the paediatric author on the British HIV Association (BHIVA) guidelines for the management of HIV in pregnancy, recently updated for 2006. As an active member of PENTA (Paediatric European Network for the Treatment of AIDS), she is involved with training clinicians who care for children with HIV as well as the development of HIV management trials in children in Europe.

Lisa Nandy - Children's Refugee Consortium
Lisa is the Policy Adviser for young refugees at The Children's Society. She currently chairs the Refugee Children's Consortium, a coalition of leading voluntary organisations working on behalf of refugee children. Lisa has previously worked for Neil Gerrard MP and as Policy and Research Officer at the youth homelessness charity, Centrepoint, where she authored, 'Waiting In Line: young refugees in the labour market' (2004).
