Debate - "Should MJ call for closure of all detention centres ?"
The motion proposed will be that Medical Justice calls for the closure of all detention centres and a speaker will oppose. The debate may include discussing scope for agreeing alternatives - e.g. calling for mandatory judicial oversight/authorisation of detention; an independent body to scrutinise the application of home office policy; a fixed period for detention; alternatives to detention, etc
