Medical Justice needs a volunteer to collate and our list of medical supporters and communicate with them more effectively.
For that, we need a live body who is efficient, understands the need for confidentiality, and who can commit to finishing defined tasks in agreed times.
Help and support will be available, and the project may provide an interesting insight into human rights medicine. Task specification below.

Medical Justice Clinical AdministratorPurpose of Job: To assist in communications with and recruitment of doctors interested in the work of Medical Justice. To provide back-up for training sessions.
Essential tasks : Must be able to ; - categorise and mine databases of approximately 350 doctors - collate and update mailing and geographical listings. - lay the basis of send-outs leading to a regular newsletter. - monitor and assist programme of enlisting professional bodies
Required skills: - database competence (Excel or other compatible) - discretion (some colleagues nervous about their contacts being circulated widely) - reliability and willingness to set and usually meet realistic deadlines - ability to leave an orderly and comprehensible system for the next person.
Time required: - 8 hours per week, from secure computer (anywhere) or Medical Justice office (Finsbury park, London). - Minimum three month commitment, longer preferred.
Expenses: Reasonable expenses will be paid; receipt required.
