Medical Justice North West

Medical Justice North West has recently been established with activity in Manchester and Liverpool.

We have a particular interest in a local accommodation centres where asylum seekers express concerns regarding mental health issues.

Dr Joseph O' Neill is now the Asylum Health UK Doctors Group Educational Lead and Royal College of General Practitioners Link, has found these roles very useful in addressing North West issues, and is available to support national initiatives.

The asylum health medical student program is now nationally recognised, and has extended into a postgraduate full day monthly program, which has vastly exceeded our expectations in raising levels of both awareness and response in the statutory sector.

Dr O' Neill has  now started to do assessment sessions at the most active law firm in Liverpool representing asylum seekers.
