From NCADC ; "Incidents of serious self-harm for the whole of 2008 were up 14% on 2007. Formal Self-Harm at Risk down 8.5% in 2008 compared to 2007." You asked for figures on self-harm in immigration detention for the months of October, November and December 2008 inclusive under the following headings: 1) Number of individuals on formal self-harm at risk. 2) Number on incidents of self-harm requiring medical treatment. 3) Number of deaths if any. In: Campsfield House, Colnbrook, Dover, Dungavel, Harmondsworth, Haslar, Lindholme, Oakington, Tinsley House, Yarl's Wood, IRC's and any Short Term Holding Centres. The information requested is in the tables below and I can confirm that there were no deaths in any of the centres or Short-Term Holding Facilities during this period.
