A seminar organised by Bhatt Murphy Solicitors and Medical Justice for psychiatrists on unlawful detention cases 
The seminar is intended for psychiatrists who visit immigration detainees and write medical reports for unlawful detention cases, and/or those intend to start visiting detainees.

Areas covered:

  • Powers of detention, basic principles of unlawful detention and places of detention including detention in prisons
  • Relevant policies (Rule 35, policy on transfers, the use of segregation)
  • The duties of experts in court proceedings

There will be plenty of opportunity to ask questions.
